Now the following is the paper scheme of 10th class English 204. The paper pattern is also given. This scheme serves as the paper pattern for 10th-class English.

Q. 1. MCQs = 19 Marks

  • Choose the correct form of verb = 5
  • Choose the word with correct spellings = 4
  • Synonyms and antonyms = 5
  • Grammar and parts of speech = 5

Q.2. Short questions = 10 marks

The students will have to attempt any 5 out of 8 short questions. 5 short questions are from exercise questions and 3 are from the lessons.

Q.3. Translate the paragraphs into URDU = 8 marks

There will be no choice in this question. Only 1 paragraph will be given and the students have to translate this very paragraph into Urdu.

Q.4. Write a summary or explain the stanza of the poem = 5 marks

In this question, there is a choice for the students. Students can either write a summary of the given topic or explain concerning the given stanza of the poem

Q.5. Write an Essay or Paragraph = 15 marks

There is a double choice in these questions: the internal choice and the external choice. The students can either write an essay or a Paragraph on the given topic. There are three topics for essays and 3 topics for paragraphs. So, the students will write either an essay on one of the given three topics OR they will write a paragraph on any one of the given three topics.

Q.6. Direct Indirect Narrations = 5 marks

8 sentences with direct or indirect narrations are given and the students have to convert any 5 sentences into opposite narrations. Usually, direct narrations come and the students have to convert them into indirect narrations

Q.7. Use pairs of words in your sentences = 5 marks

There are 8 pairs of words and the students have to use any 5 of them into their sentences. Every sentence has 0.5 marks.

Q.8. Translate the Urdu paragraph into English = 5 marks

There is a choice for English Medium students in this question. They can write a paragraph in English on the given topic if they do not want to translate the paragraph.
